Materials & Care
Casa & Beyond materials and care
Casa & Beyond textiles are mostly cotton, microfibre and chenille, with sherpa, faux fur and knit used for winter blankets. Each product page lists the exact fabric, so the table below shows the main materials by category rather than every blend.
| Category | Main materials | Common features |

| Couch covers | Microfibre chenille, quilted microfibre, cotton blends, sherpa, velvet, faux fur | Non-slip backing on many styles, water-resistant finish on some |
| Cotton throw blankets | Cotton, with many styles in 100% cotton and jacquard weaves | Reversible designs, fringed or tasselled edges |
| Winter blankets | Sherpa fleece, faux fur, velvet, knit, microfibre | Thick, warm pile and reversible designs |
| Summer blankets | Cooling fabrics, bamboo blends, cotton | Lightweight for warm nights |
| Quilt cover sets | Microfibre, cotton blends | Zip closure and matching pillowcases |
| Curtains | Microfibre, cotton, linen-look fabrics | Blackout and sheer options |
| Bath mats and rugs | Microfibre, TPE, PVC, rubber backing | Non-slip, quick-draining or quick-drying |
| Bath towels | Cotton | Absorbent, in several sizes |
| Kitchen mats | PVC with a foam core, silicone | Anti-fatigue and non-slip |
Caring for Casa & Beyond textiles
Couch covers machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then line dry or tumble dry on low heat. Several styles can also be hand washed, and skipping bleach keeps the colour and chenille texture looking fresh.
Cotton throws wash in cold water and line dry or tumble dry on low, which helps printed and jacquard designs hold their colour. Sherpa, faux fur and knit winter blankets are machine washable, and cooling blankets such as the EverChill Ice Cooling Blanket wash cold on a gentle cycle before a low tumble dry.
Microfibre quilt cover sets are machine washable and wrinkle-resistant, so they go straight from the wash back onto the bed. Cushion covers machine wash on a gentle cycle, with selected embroidered and textured styles best hand washed.
Curtains and tablecloths wash cold, by hand or on a gentle machine cycle, and can be ironed on low heat once dry. Bath mats and bathroom rugs are machine washable, many with a low tumble dry, and cotton bath towels machine wash warm.
Anti-fatigue kitchen mats wipe or rinse clean, while fabric and dish drying mats can be shaken out or machine washed on a gentle cycle.

Choosing the right size
Measuring before ordering is the simplest way to get the right fit, and most Casa & Beyond listings show their sizes in centimetres. For couch covers and couch cover mats, measure the couch from arm to arm and across the depth of the seat. Each couch cover also names the couch types it suits, from armchairs and loveseats to 3-seater, 4-seater and sectional couches.
Quilt cover sets follow standard Australian bed sizes, so they are chosen by bed rather than by measurement. Curtains are chosen by window width and the drop from the rod to the sill or floor, and tablecloths by table length plus the overhang wanted on each side. Bath and kitchen mats are matched to the floor space in front of the shower, bath, sink or bench.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions shoppers ask about Casa & Beyond
Are Casa & Beyond cotton blankets 100% cotton?
Many are. Best sellers such as the Rustic Floral Boho Blanket and the Reversible Scandinavian Bird Blanket are made from 100% cotton, often in a jacquard weave with fringed edges. The exact fibre content is listed on each product page.
Can Casa & Beyond textiles go in the washing machine?
Yes, most of them. Couch covers, cotton throws, quilt cover sets, cushion covers and bath mats are machine washable, usually on a cold, gentle cycle followed by line drying or a low tumble dry. Selected embroidered and textured pieces are best hand washed.
How do Casa & Beyond couch covers stay in place?
Most Casa & Beyond couch covers have a non-slip backing that grips the couch, so the cover moves less when people sit down or get up. Tucking the extra fabric into the gaps between the seat cushions and the frame holds it in place further.
What is the difference between cotton and sherpa blankets?
Cotton blankets are lighter and more breathable, which makes them suitable for year-round use on sofas and beds. Sherpa blankets have a thick, plush pile that holds more warmth, making them the better choice for winter nights.
Is microfibre or cotton better for a quilt cover?
Microfibre feels smooth, resists wrinkles, dries quickly and usually costs less, which makes it easy to care for. Cotton is more breathable and tends to suit warm sleepers. Most Casa & Beyond quilt cover sets are microfibre, with cotton blends in selected styles.
How do chenille and quilted couch covers compare?
Chenille couch covers have a soft, velvety woven texture and a heavier drape, often finished with tassels or a herringbone pattern. Quilted couch covers are stitched in padded layers that add cushioning and help the cover keep its shape. Both styles protect couches from pet fur, spills and everyday wear.
What is the difference between a quilt cover set and a coverlet?
A quilt cover set is a removable cover that slips over a quilt, usually with a zip closure and matching pillowcases. Coverlets are lighter bedspreads laid over the top of the bed, either on their own in warmer months or over a quilt for an extra layer. Most Casa & Beyond coverlets are reversible, giving two looks in one.
How does Casa & Beyond compare with Adairs, Bed Bath N' Table and Kmart?
Casa & Beyond stands out for free delivery on every order, with no minimum spend, no membership and no excluded items. Adairs, Bed Bath N' Table and Kmart charge for standard delivery below $175, $150 and $65 respectively. Casa & Beyond also carries more than 160 throw-over couch covers, a category Adairs and Bed Bath N' Table do not stock and Kmart only sells through Marketplace sellers.
Does Casa & Beyond charge for delivery?
No. Casa & Beyond delivers free across Australia on every order, with no minimum spend. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and every parcel is tracked.
What is Casa & Beyond's return policy?
Eligible items that are unused, unwashed and in their original packaging can be returned under the Casa & Beyond 30-day refund policy. Items that arrive faulty or damaged are replaced or refunded at no cost, with Casa & Beyond covering the return shipping.
